If you haven’t noticed already, we love a good shawl! So much so, we recently expanded our collection of shawls and wraps to share a bevy of new designs, shades and styles with you just in time for the cooler seasons!
With the autumn and winter months on the horizon, and summer (if you can call it that!) coming to an end, wrapping up warm is back on the agenda. There’s no better way to do just that than with a So Cosy shawl…
More than a seasonal must-have
While synonymous with the colder seasons, a shawl is a versatile accessory that’ll serve you well all-year-round. We loved rocking our shawls during spring and summer, with our designs able to be called upon for extra coverage during those chillier evenings or for a little more comfort during those travel adventures. As the perfect companion for work, play and everything in-between, our shawls have been constants.
As we move from summer to autumn, our shawls are certain to be called upon even more. With so many fabulous wears to way them, the same shawl can be used to create very different looks again and again.

When is a shawl not a shawl?
When it’s a scarf of course! Our wool shawls are so lightweight, they can be worn around the neck with ease. Our shawls are naturally insulating too, providing incredible warmth and cosiness when you need it most.
Whether opting for one of our bright and beautiful Lilly shawls, or more muted and elegant Elemento wraps, we proudly use the most natural materials around to ensure the very best for you, the planet, and the wonderful creatures that produce these stunning and sustainable fibres.
Styling your shawl scarf for the new season
There’s more than one way to tie a scarf you know! The classic wrap is the most traditional option with the shawl made into a triangle before being draped behind the neck, crossed over and tied at the back.
The modest wrap is a little different and is instead draped around the front of the neck, crossed over at the back and left to hang loose at the front. You can also go for a half-tied look for a more casual finish or the double crossover to secure your style on those extra gusty days.
There are many more ways to tie a shawl scarf, yet one of our favourite shawl scarf styles has to be this one as described by The Beautyholic:
“Doesn’t she look like a woman from a 90’s movie? Another simple way to wear a shawl. Keep your shawl on your shoulders like so. Now wrap one end to the opposite shoulder and another end to the opposite shoulder. And you’re good to go!”
