But in the midst of everyday life being turned upside down, being estranged from those we love most, and suffering the emotional and financial hardships that have gone hand-in-hand with the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s a silver lining…
A nation that’s closer than ever
We’ve never been so far away from our nearest and dearest yet we’ve experienced a sense of community and union that we’ve never felt before. As a nation, we’ve bonded over the shared burden of these unprecedented and uncertain times, and we’re all the more stronger for it.
But as our fight against Covid-19 continues, one thing’s for certain, now more than ever we need to take care of each other. Here at So Cosy, we’re doing just that, with fabulous discounts for you and something a little extra for the community.
Giving back to the local community
From Thursday 26th to Monday 30th November 2020, we’ll be donating 5% of what you pay for our stunning, handcrafted products to Stevenage Community Trust.
As a Stevenage resident, the Trust is close to our heart. Founded by Stevenage’s first female mayor Hilda Lawrence, the independent charity has been making a difference to local people’s lives since 1990.
During this time, the Trust has distributed some £1.4 million of grants to help those who need support most, working with charities, community groups, individuals and families in crisis.
Their work is also essential at this time of year as the winter weather sets in and temperatures plummet outside. The charity provides vital help with heating bills for the vulnerable – after all everyone should have a warm home during winter – and that’s one of the reasons why we chose to support the Stevenage Community Trust. But this and the rest of their work is only possible with the help of their generous and loyal supporters.
