Festival season is officially upon us, and with Covid-19 restrictions more relaxed than ever, attending a festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy our newfound freedom. If you’re looking at this year’s festivals and line-ups with a heavy heart because you can’t find a sitter, don’t worry, some of this summer’s festivals are welcoming the whole family!
Here we offer the ultimate guide to this summer’s family-friendly festivals as well as share our advice on what to pack for the occasion.
Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July 2022
Known as the original music festival, Cornbury takes place in The Great Tew Park in Oxfordshire and promises plenty of fun for all the family.
With a line-up featuring Bryan Adams, James Blunt and Jools Holland, the festival offers music, food, drink, and experiences for all. Cornbury Kids Zone is a cornucopia of entertainment for all ages. There are workshops, activities and shows with art, music and drama all common themes.
Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th July 2022
Located in the picturesque Henham Park in Suffolk, Latitude has been helping individuals, groups and families of all ages make the most magical memories for more than 15 years. This year’s festival promises the very best in music, dance, comedy, poetry, theatre, literature, podcasts, family activities and wellness, which equals a jam-packed itinerary for your family.
Standon Calling, Hertfordshire
Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th July 2022
Everyone is welcome at Standon Calling, including adults, children and even your beloved family pets! With Madness, Anne-Marie, Primal Scream, Sigrid and Annie Mac taking to the stage, each and every member of your family will be thoroughly entertained.
Away from the stage, you’ll find plenty to do with dedicated spaces, activities and performances for babies, kids and teens. Their Kids Area is filled with dance, theatre, circus, music, arts, crafts, sensory play and storytelling (complete with campfire), and there’s a funfair too!
Camp Bestival, Shropshire

Regularly charting as the best family-friendly festival, Camp Bestival is back and with a second location.
Their Shropshire festival offers the same family fun Camp Bestival is known and loved for, including food and drink, fairground rides, bouncy castles (including the world’s largest), go-karts, face painting, sandpits, and plenty of glitter. There’s also music from Fatboy Slim, Rag’n’Bone Man, Becky Hill, Example, and many, many more.
Shropshire too far away for you? Camp Bestival Dorset takes place from Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st July 2022.
Big Feastival, Cotswolds

With music, food, entertainment and family fun all on the menu, Big Feastival is a great way to make the most of your bank holiday weekend.
The Human League, Anne-Marie and Stereophonics have recently been announced as headliners, and there are great family and chef line-ups too. Get ready for your summer adventure
When enjoying the best family-friendly festivals with your little ones, it helps to be prepared. As in everyday life, snacks can help (a lot) as We’re Going on an Adventure explains:
“Eating at festivals can be expensive – and the food can be hit and miss. Make sure you’ve got plenty of snacks to hand, even if you just keep them in your tent! Most festivals don’t mind you taking food onto the main festival site but you might find drinks are more of an issue for obvious reasons – it’s worth checking individual policies on this.”
As well as packing plenty of snacks, shopping with us can provide all the supplies you need to enjoy your upcoming festival in style as a family.
Our blankets and throws will keep little and big kids cosy come evening, whilst our picnic blankets and accessories are perfect for dining alfresco, camping, and staying hydrated on the go during your summer adventure.
