Copenhagen – a design haven

Copenhagen - a design haven

We are constantly on the look out for inspiration for new products, so recently we decided to go on a ‘business trip’ (holiday) to Copenhagen.

Denmark is known all over the world for it’s cutting edge design, and it didn’t disappoint. We loved the light, airy and simple interiors of the boutiques and coffee shops we visited and we came home with more than enough souvenirs, most of them chairs!

What we did

We had great fun shopping in Copenhagen. The quality is extremely high and the Danish design classics sit happily alongside more colourful modern items in almost every shop. We are certain that whatever your tastes, you will find something you like here.

What we bought

1. ‘Twist a Twill’ blankets by Danish designer Tira Ratzer
2. Paper Carpets from our favourite shop, Hay
3. Poul Jensen Z Chairs for Selig

When we weren’t shopping, we visited the National Gallery and ”Ny Carlsberg Glypotek” museum, stylish restaurants and incredible coffee shops. Simplistic layouts, natural light, modern features and most importantly of all, space, were the consistent design requirements throughout the city.

Where we stayed

We are getting more into using Airbnb when we go away so we can get a real feel for how the locals live. We rented the most perfect flat – it was stylish, light and modern with simple furniture and contemporary textiles.

Copenhagen

If you love interior design, furniture and fashion – then Denmark is for you. We can’t wait to go back.
