- Washing: Dry clean or hand wash, select a temperature of 30° Celsius. This mild temperature will help preserve the integrity of the recycled wool and maintain the plaid’s softness.
- Bleaching: Avoid using chlorine bleach on your Plaid. This strong chemical can cause discolouration and damage to the fabric. Instead, opt for gentle, non-chlorine-based bleaching agents if necessary.
- Ironing: Please refrain from ironing your Plaid. The delicate nature of the recycled wool fabric may not withstand high heat or direct contact with the iron. Instead, allow the plaid to air dry naturally, maintaining its beautiful texture and drape.
- Colour Separation: When washing your Plaid, it’s best to wash colours separately. This precaution helps prevent any potential colour bleeding, ensuring that each hue retains its brilliance. Simply separate light and dark-coloured plaids and wash them in separate cycles.
- Store your wool blankets in a dark, cool place in an air-tight container or bag, and if pests are a common occurrence in your home, you can nestle a few cedar chips with your wool blankets as cedarwood is a natural flying insect repellent.
